Custom Thermal Manufacturing Services
From customer drawings to finished thermal components — custom heat sinks, liquid cold plates, CNC-machined thermal parts and complete thermal assemblies under one supplier, with engineering review, prototyping and repeat production support.
Six Thermal Manufacturing Services, One Supplier
Each service below has its own detailed page with process information and product examples. Choose the service that matches your part, or send us the drawing and we will recommend the manufacturing route.
Custom Heat Sinks
Skived, extrusion + CNC and heat-pipe heat sinks in aluminum and copper, manufactured around your thermal and mechanical requirements.
Liquid Cold Plates
Project-specific cold plates using FSW, vacuum brazing and embedded copper tube structures for high heat-load components.
CNC-Machined Thermal Parts
Milling, sawing, drilling, tapping, engraving, grooving and chamfering for thermal bases, housings and mounting features.
Thermal Assemblies
Integration of heat sinks, cold plates, heat pipes, machined housings and mechanical parts into complete thermal structures.
Thermal Analysis & Engineering
Drawing review, thermal simulation support and manufacturability (DFM) review before production to avoid rework.
Surface Treatment
Anodizing, nickel plating, selective silver plating, passivation and powder coating for corrosion protection and performance.
A Clear Manufacturing Route for Your Thermal Part
Instead of selecting from a catalog, send us your design. We review the part, choose a practical manufacturing route and support the project through sample validation and production.
Drawing Review
Geometry, material, tolerance and thermal requirements.
DFM & Process
Manufacturability review and process selection.
Prototype
Sample manufacturing for fit and validation.
Manufacturing
Controlled production using the selected route.
Inspection
Dimensional and project-specific testing.
Repeat Production
Validated design moves into volume manufacturing.
Choose the Process Around the Part — Not the Other Way Around
Custom thermal parts often combine several manufacturing methods. We select the route according to geometry, thermal requirement, quantity and cost target.
High-density one-piece aluminum and copper fins. Tooth width and gap can be machined down to a 1:1 ratio with a 0.05 mm minimum, giving more surface area per volume than many conventional finning methods.
In-house milling, sawing, drilling, tapping, engraving, grooving and chamfering for thermal bases, housings, mounting surfaces and precise interfaces.
Aluminum extrusion profiles (6063-T5 and similar) custom-machined to customer drawings — custom lengths, drilled and tapped features, steps and pockets. Not sold as standard stock profiles.
Joining routes for project-specific liquid cold plates, selected according to structure, pressure and thermal requirements.
Heat spreading and remote heat-transfer assemblies for designs where heat must move away from the source.
Full nickel plating, selective silver plating and other finishes, plus dimensional inspection and component assembly for OEM projects.

Thermal Manufacturing — Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from customers before starting a custom thermal manufacturing project.
What thermal manufacturing services does BY Thermal offer?
We are a one-stop supplier covering custom heat sinks (skived, extrusion + CNC, heat pipe), liquid cold plates (FSW, brazed, embedded copper tube), CNC-machined thermal parts, thermal assemblies, thermal analysis and surface treatment.
Do you manufacture thermal parts from customer drawings?
Yes. All parts are manufactured to customer 2D/3D drawings and project-specific requirements. We do not sell standard stock heat sinks.
Which materials and surface treatments do you support?
Common materials include aluminum (6063-T5, 6061) and copper. Surface options include anodizing, nickel plating, selective silver plating, passivation, powder coating and project-specific finishes.
What is the typical prototype lead time?
Typical samples are produced in about 20 to 25 days. Volume production schedules depend on quantity and the selected manufacturing process.
Can you combine multiple processes in one part?
Yes. Skiving with CNC finishing, extrusion profiles with CNC machining, embedded copper tubes in aluminum plates and heat pipe integration are common combinations manufactured as one component.
What information do you need for a quotation?
Send your 2D/3D drawing, target quantity, material, thermal requirements, cooling method, surface treatment and target delivery schedule. We review the manufacturing route and prepare the quotation.
Built for Custom Manufacturing Projects
We manufacture thermal components around your design and production requirements — not the other way around.
Drawing-Based Manufacturing
Parts manufactured around your mechanical, thermal and assembly requirements.
Multiple Processes Under One Roof
Skiving, CNC, extrusion + CNC, liquid cooling, heat pipe integration and assembly through one supplier.
Prototype to Production
Typical sample lead time is 20–25 days; production timing depends on quantity and process.
Engineering Review Before Production
We review drawings, materials, tolerances and process requirements before manufacturing starts.
