Mechanical Process Fiber Laser Custom Water Cooled Plates Aluminum IGBT Heat Sink
With the growing demand for high – power heat dissipation, designing efficient liquid – cooled cold plates has become crucial to tackle thermal management challenges. For aluminum liquid – cooled plates, vacuum brazing and friction stir welding (FSW) technologies are excellent choices. First, these cold plates undergo CNC precision machining. Then, they are welded using FSW technology. This process results in high structural strength and complex flow channel designs. Such designs significantly boost the heat dissipation performance of the liquid – cooled plates, allowing them to meet the thermal management needs of diverse heat sources. Manufactured from 6061 aluminum alloy, these cold plates feature milled channels. These channels are either joined via friction stir welding (FSW) or vacuum brazing processes.
For fiber laser vacuum – brazed water cooled plates, the surface goes through precision CNC machining. This ensures flatness within 0.05mm and a surface roughness of Ra1.6. The fiber optic guide slot has dimensions of 0.8mm (width) × 0.6mm (depth), with a surface roughness of Ra0.8. This precision guarantees optimal conditions for optical component integration.
