Drawing-based manufacturing for integrated heat sink, cold plate, CNC housing and cooling assembly projects.
Custom Thermal Assemblies
BY Thermal manufactures custom thermal assemblies based on customer drawings, combining skived heat sinks, liquid cold plates, CNC-machined housings, connectors, heat pipes, surface treatments and final assembly.
Our focus is not only producing individual heat sinks or cold plates, but helping customers manufacture complete thermal modules that are practical, reliable and ready for integration into high-power electronic systems.

What Are Custom Thermal Assemblies?
Custom thermal assemblies are integrated cooling components that combine multiple thermal and mechanical parts into one functional module.
Unlike a single heat sink or cold plate, a thermal assembly may include CNC-machined aluminum housings, skived fins, liquid cooling channels, water inlet and outlet connectors, copper heat spreading features, mounting structures, threaded holes, sealing parts, surface treatment and final assembly hardware.
These assemblies are commonly used when a standard heat sink or cold plate cannot meet the mechanical, thermal or installation requirements of the final product.
Typical Thermal Assemblies We Manufacture
Heat Sink Assemblies
Custom heat sink assemblies combining skived fins, CNC-machined bases, mounting plates, covers, brackets and surface treatment.
Cold Plate Assemblies
Liquid cold plate assemblies with CNC housings, water connectors, sealing structures, mounting interfaces and leak testing.
Heat Sink + Cold Plate Modules
Integrated air and liquid cooling modules combining heat sinks, cold plates, CNC parts and mechanical assembly features.
CNC Housing Assemblies
Precision CNC-machined aluminum housings with cooling structures, threaded holes, mounting surfaces and interface features.
Heat Pipe Assemblies
Thermal assemblies using heat pipes, skived fins, CNC bases, soldering, brazing or mechanical fixing methods.
Custom Cooling Modules
Drawing-based cooling modules for high-power electronics, fiber laser systems, AI servers, power supplies and industrial equipment.
Manufacturing Capabilities
For mounting holes, threaded holes, grooves, pockets, covers, panels and precision assembly features.
For internal channels, water cooling structures, inlet/outlet ports and sealing requirements.
For aluminum cold plates and liquid cooling assemblies requiring strong and reliable joining.
For complex cold plate structures, multi-layer parts and leak-tight cooling assemblies.
Surface Treatment
Anodizing, nickel plating, passivation, cleaning, polishing and other finishes according to drawing requirements.
Final Assembly
Assembly of heat sinks, cold plates, CNC housings, connectors, screws, fittings and related components.
Materials and Surface Treatments
Materials
Common materials include aluminum, copper, stainless steel connectors, brass fittings and other materials specified by customer drawings.
Material selection depends on thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, weight, structural strength, surface treatment requirements and cost targets.
Surface Treatments
Available surface treatments include anodizing, nickel plating, chemical cleaning, passivation, polishing, powder coating and other finishes based on customer requirements.
For cold plate and liquid cooling assemblies, surface treatment selection should also consider coolant compatibility, corrosion resistance and sealing reliability.
